Traditional Driven Shooting
This is rapid, focused shooting if you are to be successful. The first two drives of the morning are followed by an aperitif of sausages, cheeses, homemade breads, and other fine choices for a break in the action. There are two more drives before lunch, and lunch is taken at La Moraleja proper, the home of Alberto and Angie Rojo. Dine on wonderful Spanish favorites, like the traditional paella, a rice dish that originated in Valencia. After lunch, there will be one or two more driven shoots.

The red-legged partridge is indigenous to Spain and considered to be one of the most prized game birds by hunters because of its beauty, grit and fast, erratic flight.

The fine folks at La Moraleja open their home to hunters, for a lovely, welcoming stay in their large and beautifully arranged lodge. A days hunt is in classic, traditional driven shooting with beaters flushing birds, hunters at their pegs, and loaders and secretaries making sure you have a gun at the ready. Bag limits are exceptionally generous, with a party bagging up to 500 or more partridge per day.
